Kirkeporten translates as “Churchgate.” This geological wonder is a fissure several meters wide in a cliff overhang that is formed like a large gate. The 2.5-kilometer walk from Skarsvag to Kirkeporten takes 20–25 minutes. Everyone will enjoy the easy walk. The midnight sun streams through the gate of the rock between midnight and two a.m. on summer nights, which is spectacular.
