Amsterdam Cruise Port

AmsterdamAmsterdam is a popular vacation spot all year long, for both first-timers and people who have been there before. Because of its rich history, it is also a popular port of call for cruise ships. Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, where cruise ships dock, is conveniently situated in the downtown area, within striking distance of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. At the port of Amsterdam, luggage and passengers are handled with care. Every year, more and more cruise ships dock in Amsterdam.

Much of Amsterdam can be explored on foot, allowing tourists to take in views like the unique gables atop each home, the houseboats adorned with potted plants, and the vibrant floating flower market. The canal alleys of Amsterdam, lined with trees, have a magical, enchanted feel. Although hotels, flats, and restaurants have opened up behind the gabled townhouses, the aesthetic of this lovely old city has changed little since its 17th-century Golden Age. Everything from diamond cutters to world-famous museums and art galleries can be reached on foot in the tiny old city center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and living museum. Outside of the canals, there are many interesting attractions, scenic walks, and historic sites in Amsterdam.
