In the Norwegian county of Sogn og Fjordane, the community of Gudvangen is located inside the municipality of Aurland. At the very end of the Naeroyfjord, where the Naeroydalselvi river flows into the fjord, you’ll find Gudvangen Fjordtell. This is a popular tourist destination and the best place to begin a tour of the various sights that can be found in the Sognefjord area.
Gudvangen Fjordtell was constructed with the intention that it would always be possible for guests to take pleasure in the breathtaking scenery of the magnificent Naeroyfjord. Glass makes up one third of the structure that makes up the main building. Because of this, one can take pleasure in the view whether the weather is clear or stormy.
Gudvangen is a prominent tourist site at the mouth of the Naeroyfjord, where the Naeroydalselvi river pours into the fjord. The Naeroyfjord is the most magnificent and wild of the Sognefjord’s side arms. Nature is breathtaking, with steep mountain sides, snow-capped mountain peaks, untamed waterfalls, and a vibrant cultural landscape. View farms clinging to the fjord’s steep hillside slopes, which are 10 miles long and only 750 feet wide at their narrowest point. A boat excursion on the Naeroyfjord is without a doubt one of the most stunning fjord experiences in Europe. The experience is distinct whether you take the ferry, a smaller boat, or a kayak. A boat excursion can also be combined with fjord fishing and/or a stroll along parts of the fjord.
